Information Technology Services

Penn State Fayette's Information Technology Services (ITS) office ensures that students, faculty and staff have the information technology tools and infrastructure necessary to enhance learning, teaching, research, outreach, administration, and support activities at our campus. ITS also provides telephone services and maintains the physical data and telecommunication infrastructure on campus.

Student Id Card

Penn State id+ Card

You Penn State id+ Card and your Access Account identify you as a Penn State student. You can present your Penn State id+ card for a variety of services and your Access Account is your "digital identity" at Penn State, allowing you to access Penn State's electronic resources.

Media Commons Room

Media Commons

The Media Commons is Penn State's initiative to provide a common set of tools, support, and opportunities to create digital media at all campus locations. Fayette campus has additional on-site resources available to assist with projects.

Media Services for Faculty projects include: design help; equipment and project support; class training; and outside resource information.

Media Services for Student projects include: loaning and training of equipment; editing assistance; storage space; green screen for video capturing; and media workstation reservations.

Wireless Networking

Wireless access to the Penn State network is available throughout the Penn State Fayette Campus. Wireless devices are able to connect at various points on campus.

Help with using the wireless network is available from the IT Support Center in Eberly 107.

Rules

Penn State students are expected to follow Penn State network security policies. Please use technology wisely. You are responsible for your Access Account and will be held accountable for any problems associated with its use.

Individuals are expected to exercise responsible, ethical behavior when using the University's computers, information, networks or resources. Computer users in the academic community should be aware of relevant laws, policies, and guidelines.

Software

Not all labs and classrooms have the same software loaded on the computers. Please see the IT Staff in Eberly 107 for a list of labs and available software.
