The Penn State Fayette Alumni Society will sponsor its third annual 5K Paint Run/Walk at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 17. Similar races take place across the country, and this event will bring a little bit of that color to Fayette County.
During each lap of the non-competitive race, participants will have the opportunity to be doused from head to toe in “paint” made from cornstarch and non-toxic pigments, so they should wear old clothes.
There is a $25 fee for all entrants. For registrations received after Sept. 10, the fee will be $40 per person; it will be $50 on race day.
Members of the public may download a registration form at fayette.psu.edu/form/alumni-society-5k-paint-runwalk. The first 75 people to register will receive a race t-shirt and swag bag. All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Check-in begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Community Center, with the fun race beginning at 10:00 a.m. This event will take place rain or shine.
Proceeds benefit the Penn State Fayette Alumni Society’s campus and community initiatives.
