UHS to collect student health insurance information for 2017-18

Penn State is moving toward a University-wide health insurance requirement for the 2018-19 academic school year. In preparation for the new requirement, University Health Services (UHS) will begin collecting student health insurance information in May 2017.

Boy Scouts honor Fayette campus chancellor

Scouting has played a significant role in the life of Charles Patrick, chancellor and chief academic officer of Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus — from his youth, when he was a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout, to adulthood, when his two sons began Scouting and he served as a leader. So it was very fitting that the Westmoreland Fayette Council of the Boy Scouts of America chose to honor Patrick at its annual Distinguished Citizen Dinner, held Oct. 27 at the Historic Stone House restaurant.

Fundraiser nets nearly $200,000 in scholarship funds for Penn State Fayette

Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus raised approximately $197,000 for scholarships at the inaugural Benefit Fayette, held on Saturday, Oct. 15. The evening’s highlight was the announcement of a $100,000 gift from Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and 84 Lumber founder Joe Hardy in honor of his wife, Jodi, a 1998 nursing graduate of the Fayette campus.

At the Oct. 15 Benefit Fayette, which raised nearly $200,000, it was announced that Joe Hardy, right, had made a $100,000 donation to form the Jodi Santella Hardy Trustee Scholarship in honor of his wife, a nursing alumna of Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus. They were joined by, from left, Penn State Fayette’s Charles Patrick, chancellor and chief academic officer, and Lori Omatick, director of development.
