The CEO Conversations series at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus will feature on Nov. 16 Alexander “Nick” Nichols, the recently retired chief operating officer of the Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council (EMSDC). EMSDC’s mission is to develop business opportunities for minority-owned businesses by certifying and linking them to corporations and public agencies.
Scouting has played a significant role in the life of Charles Patrick, chancellor and chief academic officer of Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus — from his youth, when he was a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout, to adulthood, when his two sons began Scouting and he served as a leader. The Coal and Coke Heritage Center at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus will feature “Christmas in the Coal Patch” Dec. 2 through Jan. 9 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. This mini-exhibition shows how Christmas was celebrated by the Slovakian, Polish, Carpatho-Rusyn, and Italian immigrant families living in the mining company towns of southwestern Pennsylvania.
Employees of Machine Fabricating and Weight Equipment Shop of Uniontown spent several Saturdays this fall at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, learning about specialized software used for rendering 3D CAD images of parts the company manufactures.
