The best way to determine if a college campus is right for you is to visit campus!
Visiting a college lets you get to experience first-hand the students, faculty, and staff as well as the academic programs, campus life, and environment. Penn State Fayette strongly recommends that you visit our campus before making your final decision on where to attend college.
As a prospective student, you have several options on how to visit our campus depending on what type of experience you are looking for and what type of information you hope to learn. To see the full list of events or to schedule your visit to campus, please visit our event registration website.
Individual Campus Visits
Penn State Fayette offers appointments for you to visit our campus and meet individually with admissions and financial aid counselors, tour campus, and have your specific questions answered.
Individual appointments can be made most weekdays, Monday through Friday, during our normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Campus tours are typically offered only twice each day, once in the morning and once in early afternoon.
When you arrive on campus for your individual appointment, make sure to bring an official copy of your high school transcript and SAT/ACT scores with you. Penn State will waive the standard $65 application fee if you apply while on campus.
Open House Programs—Workshops
Throughout the year, Penn State Fayette offers a number of large Open House visitation programs. These Open Houses often provide prospective students the opportunity to meet more campus students, faculty, and staff compared to an individual visit and better experience campus life and academic offerings.
Open House programs are offered at various days and times of the week, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and mornings. We try to offer programs at various times to fit your busy schedule.
Admitted Student Programs
Beginning in the winter months and continuing into the spring, Penn State Fayette will offer special programs for students who have already been admitted to campus. These programs typically allow students even greater access to campus students and faculty, a chance to sit in on classes, and fully experience what it is like to be a Penn State Fayette student.
School Group Visits
Penn State Fayette often hosts groups of students from local high schools. These group visits can vary in their purpose and length. If you are a high school teacher or administrator and would like to bring a group of your students to our campus to participate in an college admissions/preparation program, career exploration program, or attend one of our campus cultural events, please contact our office at 724-430-4130.
