Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus inducted 43 of its highest-achieving students into the Pi Sigma Phi academic honor society during an April 17 ceremony.
The Integrative Studies Seed Grant Program, offered through the Penn State Office for General Education, will support 71 different course development projects this summer. In response to the large volume of highly qualified proposals, the budget was generously increased by more than 50 percent by the Office of the Provost and the Office of Undergraduate Education.
Undergraduate students representing seven of Penn State’s campuses will present their research to legislators at the 15th annual Undergraduate Research at the Capitol – Pennsylvania (URC-PA) conference, taking place at the Capitol Complex in Harrisburg on April 25.

The Penn State Alumni Association has selected Dr. Gib Prettyman, an associate professor of English at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, to receive an Alumni/Student Award for Excellence in Teaching. In conjunction with this award, he will serve as a Penn State Teaching Fellow for 2017.

Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer Charles Patrick conferred academic degrees on 113 candidates for graduation May 6 during the 47th commencement ceremony at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus. The event’s honored guest speaker was Richard Trumka, a Fayette campus alumnus who is president of the AFL-CIO, the largest organization of labor unions in the country.
Penn State is moving toward a University-wide health insurance requirement for the 2018-19 academic school year. In preparation for the new requirement, University Health Services (UHS) will begin collecting student health insurance information in May 2017.
