Fundraiser nets nearly $200,000 in scholarship funds for Penn State Fayette

Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus raised approximately $197,000 for scholarships at the inaugural Benefit Fayette, held Saturday, Oct. 15. The evening’s highlight was the announcement of a $100,000 gift from Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and 84 Lumber founder Joe Hardy in honor of his wife, Jodi, a 1998 nursing graduate of the Fayette campus.

Opportunities to explore nursing available at Fayette campus

Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus will host two Nursing Exploration Days this semester. These events, which are designed for high school students interested in learning more about this in-demand health care career, will take place at the Bio-Medical Building Oct. 28 and Nov. 18 between 9:00 a.m. and noon.

Nursing alumna Carolyn Garver recognized by employer, alma mater

Carolyn Castor Garver, a 1986 graduate of Penn State’s bachelor of science degree program in nursing, received her employer's annual Patient Safety Award twice in the past five years. In September, the College of Nursing Alumni Society recognized her as someone who exemplifies the spirit of nursing and a commitment to the college's ideals and philosophy.
