Penn State Fayette to host 46th annual Shakespeare Festival

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus will host the 46th annual Shakespeare Festival on Monday, Oct. 9, and Tuesday, Oct. 10, in the Maggie Hardy Magerko Auditorium in the Community Center on campus.

The festival will feature the workshops “Commanding the Room” and “From Page to Stage” at 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., respectively, on Monday. Monday night will conclude with a 7 p.m. performance of Shakespeare’s “Othello.” Tuesday morning’s performance of “Alice in Wonderland” at 11 a.m. will close the festival.

Workshops and performances will be provided by the National Players, “America’s longest-running touring company,” according to its website. Founded in 1949, the National Players ensemble has performed in 41 states, in the White House, and for American military across the world.
