Penn State Fayette to hold nurse practitioner information session March 22

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — The Nursing Program at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, will hold an information session March 22 for nurses interested in the Nurse Practitioner Options of the master of science in nursing (M.S.N.) degree program. The session will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. in room 218 of the Biomedical Building on the Fayette campus in Lemont Furnace, Pennsylvania.

Penn State Fayette offers two areas of specialization for the Nurse Practitioner Option: Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Most courses are offered on campus using videoconferencing technology; some courses are offered online. Graduates are eligible for national certification and state licensure in their specialty areas.

U.S. News & World Report ranked Penn State’s M.S.N. degree programs — including three Nurse Practitioner options as well as online programs for Nurse Educator and Nurse Administrator — 20th in overall nursing master’s degree programs for their 2018 Best Graduate Schools rankings.
