Penn State Fayette’s Summer Youth Programs offer a wide variety of fun-filled, academic learning for youth and teens in grades 1-12. Our instructors are highly qualified, experienced professionals, who provide a fun, safe, and educational experience through innovative learning, experiments, hands-on activities, and games, with some adventure along the way!

Jurassic Camp: In this camp, we will travel through prehistoric times to explore all things dino and learn what the world was like when these giant creatures walked the Earth. Get ready to dig deep.

Under The Sea: Students will explore all about the ocean and its various animals and creatures. We will do a variety of activities to dive deep down and find out what goes on under the waves!

A Land Far, Far Away: Learn about myths and fairytales and the science behind them. Create crafts, read books, build a leprechaun trap, make a gumdrop bridge and a Cinderella carriage as just a few activities.

Walk Like an Egyptian: This week students will be going back in time to learn about life in ancient Egypt while getting to make their own pyramid, mummy, and Canopic jar.

Animal Kingdom: It is time to let out your wild side and explore the Animal Kingdom. This week we will be learning about animals through projects, crafts, and more. From the wilds of the jungle to our own backyard we will discover the animals that inhabit our world and walk alongside us.

Washington on Your Side: This week is all about America’s first president George Washington. Students will be learning about Washington in the French and Indian war as well as Washington’s role in the founding of our country.

Welcome to the Jungle: Learn about the rainforest and the animals in it. We will create our own jungle, participate in rainforest yoga and bingo, take a virtual tour and create a diorama. Come join us for this wild adventure.

Energy and Magnetism: Students investigate electricity and magnetism as related effects and engage in engineering design while learning useful applications of electromagnetism in everyday life. Students conduct controlled experiments by incrementally changing variables to determine how to make an electromagnet stronger. They investigate how the amount of energy transfer changes when balls of different masses hit a stationary object. Students explore energy transfer through waves (repeating patterns of motion) that results in sound and motion. They gather information about how energy and fuels are derived from natural resources and how that affects the environment. They explore alternative sources of energy that use renewal resources.

Penn State Bookstore STEM Camp-The STEM camp is a week of hands-on educational programming that will focus on the practical application of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in everyday life. This camp is designed for students entering ninth to twelfth grades. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate on academic exploration with Penn State faculty and industry professionals in project-based activities that foster creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

Be a Nittany Lion! Join the Fayette Family and register for Summer Sports Camps hosted by Penn State Fayette Athletics. Registrants will receive instruction from the Penn State Fayette Athletics coaching staff in state-of-the-art college facilities with special appearances from members of our college sport teams. If you must cancel a camp registration, please notify Penn State Fayette, Office of Outreach and Continuing Education, in writing a minimum of one week in advance of the start of the camp. A course fee refund is subject to a $20 administrative fee for the cancellation of the camp. No refund will be issued after start date.
Currently planning on-campus, face-to-face camps for all grades. This is subject to change due to COVID-19 health and safety regulations.
