Each year in August, Penn State Fayette invites the community to enjoy a free outdoor concert on campus, with a fireworks display to end the evening. Established in 2016, this tradition marks the beginning of a new academic year and celebrates the continued support of our community.

Foreigners Journey will perform, and a fireworks display will directly follow the show. According to the band, Foreigners Journey performs “a repertoire of classic hits by Foreigner and Journey [to] provide a crowd-pleasing night of unforgettable music.” The band features Tony-nominated star of Broadway's Rock of Ages and American Idol finalist, Constantine Maroulis.
Alumni and family are invited to attend an Alumni Barbecue, preceding the performance, at 5:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required at a fee of $25 per adult. Alumni will be provided a reserved concert viewing area. To register by August 12, call 724-430-4190 or submit this form by mail.

Do I need to purchase a ticket?
No, the Concert on the Lawn is free for all to attend, and no tickets are required.
When can I enter the campus?
The campus will open to attendees at 6:00 p.m. The performance will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Is parking available?
Yes, limited parking will be available, however carpooling is encouraged.
Is this event ADA accessible?
ADA Accessible parking will be available, and golf cart transportation can be arranged upon request. Please contact Campus Police Services at 724-430-4120 for more information.
What if the weather is bad?
In the case of inclement weather, an announcement about an alternative location or postponement will be made promptly.
Can I bring a cooler?
No, coolers are prohibited. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
Do I need to wear a mask?
Penn State Fayette follows federal and state guidelines for public health safety. Masks are not required outdoors or inside campus buildings at this time. Visitors should consider and evaluate how their own vaccination status impacts the level of risk they are comfortable accepting before visiting campus.
