Teaching and Learning Sessions
(Common Hour, In-Person Rotating and Virtual)
These weekly 30 minute virtual sessions will focus on a specific tool, technique, or special topic related to teaching and learning. They are held during Common Hour and will rotate through the days of the week to (hopefully!) meet a wider range of schedules. Sessions will be recorded and added to the resource archive along with relevant resources.
Digital Fluency Sessions
(Common Hour, In-Person at Greater Allegheny and Virtual)
To support Greater Allegheny's Digital Fluency Project, these highlight sessions will go over innovative ways of using iPads and other digital learning environment technologies.
Spring 2022 Book Group
(Virtual, Co-Campus)
Do you feel like your students are increasingly distracted whether they're online or in-person? Distracted: Why Students Can't Focus and What You Can Do About It by James Lang offers strategies for moving beyond blaming students or technology–and how to build environments that cultivate student attention. The book is available for online access–click this link to view. This Spring 2022 book group–between faculty and staff at both Greater Allegheny and Fayette–will take place on Fridays (schedule to be determined).
To join, please click here to submit your interest before January 7th.
