LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — Melissa Robinson, assistant professor of corporate communications at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, led her students through a crisis press conference simulation.

Journalism students, guided by Rosemary Martinelli, lecturer in marketing and communications at Penn State Greater Allegheny, participated in a crisis press conference simulation. The exercise aimed to replicate the stress and immediacy of real-world crisis communications.

Martinelli confronted the student speakers with difficult, crisis-related questions that forced them to respond in the moment.

The event highlighted the practical training methods of Penn State corporate communications program and promoted inter-campus collaboration, with students from Shenango also participating through Penn State's Digital Learning Cooperative.
