LION AMBASSADOR MISSION
Lion Ambassadors are to serve The Pennsylvania State University with excellence:
- Communicating its history and personality, strengthening its traditions, and instilling Penn State pride in current and future students, alumni, and friends.
- To instill within students the idea that their involvement with the University can and should be a lifelong commitment.
As Lion Ambassadors, we are here to foster excitement and pride in the country's greatest university!
MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Membership eligibility is open to any student enrolled full-time who:
- Has at least a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Is in good standing with the University
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Lion Ambassadors is to give tours to prospective students, alumni and guests of the campus, act as host/hostesses at on-campus admissions events and participate in “phone-a-thons” or other campus events.
Lion Ambassadors are student leaders who demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment, generosity, and lots of energy.
Ambassadors will be able to determine their level of involvement to the organization, but need to meet the minimum requirements for participation in the organization. The more an Ambassador participates, the more connected to the campus he/she will be.
SELECTION
Thank you for your interest in Lion Ambassadors!
Interested students must submit a completed application to the Admissions Office. New Lion Ambassadors will complete training/shadowing. Those who complete the requirements and training will be formally notified and welcomed into the organization.
