At the Celebrate the Season holiday event for staff and faculty at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, held Dec. 9 at the Uniontown County Club, Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Charles Patrick presented, from left, Joseph Friend Jr., Nathaniel Bohna, and Dr. Jerrold Hoeg with plaques for the Staff Excellence, Ellen Laun Advising Excellence, and Faculty Excellence awards, respectively. Challenged by their instructor David Meredith to find ways to save energy in their lives, the EGEE 102/Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection class at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus managed to cut, on average, six barrels of oil equivalent, worth about $280 each year. Students in the Introduction to Visual Studies; Pictorial Space and the Principles of Visual Organization class at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus recently completed cleaning a 1964 painting of George Washington’s Perryopolis grist mill that had been hanging in the Fayette County Courthouse.
