Kevin L. Colosimo, a lawyer with expertise in the oil and gas industry and related legal ethical matters, will be the featured speaker March 15 when the CEO Conversations series at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus resumes for the spring semester.
Colosimo was drawn to practice energy law in 2009 by the entrepreneurial spirit and potential of the burgeoning oil and gas industry in Appalachia. After serving in various leadership and management positions throughout his career, he currently leads the Energy and Natural Resources Industry Team at Frost Brown Todd LLC’s Pittsburgh office, where he is member-in-charge.
A frequent author and speaker on legal issues facing the oil and gas industry, in addition to legal ethics, Colosimo is a regular advocate for the energy industry in Harrisburg. He has been a member and committee co-chair of the Marcellus Shale Roundtable, sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh’s Institute of Politics.
Colosimo is a member of numerous bar organizations, sits on the Advisory Board to the Institute for Energy Law, and serves as an officer and trustee for the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation. The Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory lists him as AV-rated, which is the highest such rating available to any individual lawyer.
He is a member of the United Way of Allegheny County’s Tocqueville Society and the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army of Greater Pittsburgh (vice chair), and serves as a trustee of Seton Hill University, in addition to involvement with various local charities.
A graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh XXII, Colosimo obtained a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Law/Criminology in 1994 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned his juris doctorate from Duquesne University Law School in 1997. He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Colosimo, who resides in Gibsonia, is an avid fly fisherman. He will speak at 12:15 p.m. March 15 in Penn State Fayette’s Student Center, which is located on the lower level of the Williams Building.
The CEO Conversations series, sponsored by Ford Business Machines, is designed to give audiences an opportunity to hear from and to talk with key individuals in the local, regional, and national business communities about business, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
