Penn State Fayette’s Summer Youth Programs offer a wide variety of fun-filled, academic learning for youth and teens in grades 1-12. Our instructors are highly qualified, experienced professionals, who provide a fun, safe, and educational experience through innovative learning, experiments, hands-on activities, and games, with some adventure along the way!

Traveling the U.S.A.—American Landmarks Camp: Buckle up your seatbelts and get ready to explore the United States of America! Students will explore different landmarks in America and get creative with building and creating these landmarks with all different kinds of materials in various projects. From the Golden Gate Bridge to the Statue of Liberty, it’s a cross-country adventure packed with discovery, teamwork, and unforgettable fun—no suitcase required!

Jurassic Camp: In this camp, we will travel through prehistoric times to explore all things dino and learn what the world was like when these giant creatures walked the Earth. Get ready to dig deep!

Time Travelers Camp: Step into the Time Portal and get ready for the ultimate adventure at Time Travelers Camp Campers will journey through the ages — stomping with dinosaurs in prehistoric times, exploring pyramids in ancient Egypt, defending castles with medieval knights, riding into the Wild West, and blasting off into the future! Each day brings hands-on crafts, exciting games, creative challenges, and fun learning missions. This camp blends imagination, teamwork, and discovery as campers race to “fix the timeline” and become officially certified Time Travelers by the end of the week. No passport required — just a sense of adventure!

A Summer in Space: Blast off into adventure at our summer space camp! Have you ever wanted to become an astronaut? In this week’s camp, every day is packed with hands-on experiments and cosmic fun. Get ready to ignite your curiosity and reach for the stars!

Animal Habitats Summer Camp: Get ready for a wild adventure! Each day, campers will explore a different animal habitat—rainforest, desert, ocean, Arctic, and grasslands—through hands-on crafts, STEM projects, and creative activities. We will learn about animals and the environments they call home as campers become animal explorers!

Carnival Craze: Join in the excitement of our carnival camp by learning the physics behind the magic. Students will have the opportunity to create their own carnival rides through various STEM activities. Come for a fun-filled time featuring many carnival and circus themed games, activities, arts and crafts, and more!

Going for the Gold Camp: Get ready for a week of learning about different Olympic sports and coming up with your own creative designs! Campers will learn about the different Olympic sports, do crafts that go along with the Olympics, and build their own versions of the different Olympic Games. It’s a fun, hands-on week where creativity and problem-solving go for the gold!

Under the Sea: Students will explore all about the ocean and its various animals and creatures. We will do a variety of activities to dive deep down and find out what goes on under the waves!

Grades 4 through 6 (ages 9-11)
1,2,3… Blast off!: Campers will learn about planets, stars, rockets, and astronauts while building their own spacecraft models, designing space habitats, and exploring how scientists study the cosmos. Through interactive activities and teamwork, students will investigate topics like gravity, the solar system, and space technology. Young explorers will also enjoy space-themed games, problem-solving missions, and creative art projects inspired by the mysteries of the universe. Join us for an unforgettable journey where curiosity, creativity, and discovery take flight!

Health Camp: Campers will learn about different parts of the body, including the heart, muscles, bones, brain, and lungs. Through hands-on activities, simple experiments, and creative projects, students will discover how these systems help us move, think, breathe, and stay healthy. Each day will also include fun physical activities and games that promote teamwork, fitness, and healthy habits. Campers will explore topics like exercise, nutrition, and taking care of their bodies in ways that are engaging and age-appropriate. Join us for an exciting week of learning.

Comic Book Superheroes: Campers will learn the history of comic books and the backstories of famous superheroes such as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. We will produce our own comic strips, come up with our own superhero persona (what would your superhero name be, your superpowers, etc), and design our masks and outfits. Other activities will include superhero tag, using clues to solve a mystery, and skits where the “superheroes” have to save their city from a villain!

Sport History: Step into the fascinating world of sports history! This camp is designed for students in Grades 4–6 who are curious about how different sports began and how they have changed over time. Campers will explore the stories behind famous sports, legendary athletes, and important moments that shaped the world of athletics. Through discussions, creative projects, and hands-on activities, students will learn about the origins of different sports, the cultures they come from, and how they became popular around the world. Students will also enjoy making sports-themed crafts, designing team logos, creating mini museums of sports history, and participating in fun history-based challenges. Please note: This camp focuses on learning about sports and their history. It is not a training camp and will not focus on teaching how to play specific sports. Join us for a fun and creative experience where sports, history, and imagination come together!

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel a registration, please notify Penn State Fayette's Office of Outreach and Continuing Education in writing at least one week before the program start date. A course fee refund will be subject to a $20 administrative fee. No refunds will be issued after the start date. All programs are on-campus and face-to-face for all grades.
