Basic School Resource Officer training offered at Penn State Fayette

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — The Outreach and Continuing Education department at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, will host a Basic School Resource Officer course Nov. 11-15.

The course, offered in collaboration with the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO), is a five-day, 40-hour course designed for any law enforcement officer or school administrator working in an educational environment. Topics will include the functions of an officer in a school setting, problem-solving, teaching skills and more.

The course is $445 for NASRO members and $495 for nonmembers. The deadline to register is Oct. 27. To register, visit http://bit.ly/fayetteSRO.
