LGBT advocate to speak at Fayette campus

Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus will host a speaking engagement with Shane Bitney Crone Nov. 10 at 12:15 p.m.

Crone gained the public’s attention after his male partner accidentally fell from a four-story apartment building. Crone was denied access to the emergency room, since the two were not legally recognized as a couple, and was also forbidden to attend his funeral. Their story was turned into the award-winning film “Bridegroom.”

Crone is now an LGBT advocate, writer, and speaker. His talk will take place in Swimmer Hall, which is inside the Williams Building. The public is welcome to attend; no RSVP is needed.
