Penn State Fayette and United Bank 4.0 Club honors local high school students

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — The Penn State Fayette and United Bank 4.0 Club was established in 2011 to recognize students from 18 regional high schools who have completed their sophomore, junior, or senior years with a cumulative grade-point average of 4.0 or higher.

In past years, the campus has held a highly-anticipated ceremony and celebratory dinner for inductees and their families. This year, inductees were honored in a virtual recognition program featuring remarks from University and local leaders and educators.

“We want to honor many of the best and brightest students of southwestern Pennsylvania and beyond,” said Charles Patrick, chancellor and chief academic officer. “After several decades as a college student, professor and now administrator, I’ve found two common characteristics that drive students to excel. They are habit and grit.”
