Penn State Fayette Scholarships

In support of our strong commitment to individual excellence, Penn State continues to build its resources to offer competitive scholarship opportunities for students who excel.

Incoming freshmen are automatically screened for Penn State Fayette Scholarships when they apply for admission. Upperclass and returning students are requested to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to April 15th. Students will automatically be reviewed based on need, merit, and scholarship criteria.

Advisory Board of Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, Trustee Scholarship

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette and who have a demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be given to students from the eligible pool who have completed at least 30 credits at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus.

Alfred E. and Rebecca Ambrosini Open Doors

Consideration shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, who are participating in the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program (PaSSS).

Alumni Society of the Fayette Campus Student Award

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette and who have completed at least 24 credits from Penn State, have a minimum grade point average of 2.75, and have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, with a demonstrated financial need. The student must have volunteered or assisted in a number of programs/activities.

Penn State Alumni Association Trustee Scholarship for Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette and who have a demonstrated financial need.

Hugh M. Barclay and the Fayette Campus Founders Trustee Scholarship

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette and who have a demonstrated financial need.

Judge Samuel D. Braemer Memorial Scholarship Award for Excellence in Administration of Justice

Consideration for this scholarship is given to all full-time undergraduate students of junior standing or above enrolled as Administration of Justice degree candidates at Penn State Fayette. Eligible students must have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement (minimum 3.5 GPA).

Judge Samuel David Braemer Trustee Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette and who have a demonstrated financial need.

The Mary Ellen and F. Todd Burhans Memorial Award

The purpose of this award is to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding students from Dunbar Borough and/or the immediate vicinity, including Mt. Braddock.

Penn State Fayette Commonwealth College Scholarships

The purpose of this fund is to encourage young men and women of the highest academic excellence and promise to avail themselves of the educational opportunities provided at the Commonwealth Campuses of Penn State. Entering freshmen are given preference. A strong academic record and documented financial need are required.

Carmichaels Area Community Service-Learning Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses and are participating in the Community Service-Learning Program. Preference is given to students who are residents of the Carmichaels Area School District in Carmichaels, PA.

Centra Bank Trustee Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students from Fayette County enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette who have demonstrated a financial need.

O.C. Cluss Lumber Company Trustee Scholarship

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette who have a demonstrated financial need.

Congelio Family Open Doors

Consideration shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, who are participating in the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program (PaSSS).

CRH Catering and Cordaro Family Open Doors

Consideration shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, who are participating in the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program (PaSSS).

Domenick A. Cuppelli Academic Achievement Award

Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled in a credit degree program at the Penn State Fayette campus, who have earned a minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point average after the completion of fifteen or more consecutive credit hours.

Emma Scheggia Cupelli Academic Achievement Award

Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled in a credit degree program at the Penn State Fayette campus, who have earned a minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point average after the completion of fifteen or more consecutive credit hours.

DiNunno Family Memorial Scholarship

Consideration for this scholarship is given to all undergraduate students who are pursuing studies in the area of engineering or science and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. They must have demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses and have shown sufficient promise through their diligence, resolve and academic achievement to merit support. Preference is given to students from the Laurel Highlands High School first and then to the Uniontown Greater Area as defined by the zipcode 15401.

James M. Driscoll Scholarship

Mr. Driscoll was the first Chairman of the Fayette Campus Advisory Board (1965-1979). Consideration for this scholarship is given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled at the Fayette campus. Students must demonstrate good citizenship and have a demonstrated need for additional funds to complete their education.

Eberly Family Fayette Campus Scholarship Fund

The Eberly family has been long-term supporters of financial aid to students enrolled at the Penn State Fayette campus. Consideration for awards from this fund is given to any student enrolled or planning to enroll in any program offered at the Fayette campus and pursuing a course of study leading toward a degree or certificate. Eligible students must have demonstrated academic achievement, good moral character, and financial need. Preference is given to students from Fayette County.

The Eberly Family Scholarship in Business

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Baccalaureate of Science in the business program at Penn State Fayette.

The Erdely Family Trustee Scholarship at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette who have a demonstrated financial need. First preference is given to those students planning to major in Engineering

James R. Gabriel Award

Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled at Penn State Fayette who have achieved academic excellence

Dr. Peter and Mary Gabriel Family Trustee Scholarship Fund

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette who have a demonstrated financial need.

Dr. Gregory W. Gray Trustee Matching Scholarship

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus who have a demonstrated financial need.

The Francis H.S. Hall Memorial Scholarship for Academic Excellence

Consideration for this scholarship is given to any full-time student who is planning to enroll as a degree candidate at the Fayette campus and has achieved an outstanding academic year. This is a merit-based scholarship.

The purpose of this scholarship is to help perpetuate the memory of Professor Francis Hall, a highly respected mathematician at the campus from 1966 until his untimely death in 1986 when he succumbed to leukemia, and to encourage superior high school graduates to enroll at the Fayette campus.

Hardy Family Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette.

Hardy Family Trustee Scholarship at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus who have a demonstrated financial need.

Sergeant Dennis William Hippo Scholarship

Consideration for this scholarship is given to all full-time undergraduate students who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll in any of the associate degree programs at the Penn State Fayette campus. Eligible students must have achieved satisfactory academic records, demonstrate good citizenship through participation in campus activities, and have a proven financial need.

W.B. Kania and Associates Trustee Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette who have demonstrated a financial need.

Bayard D. and Ethel M. Kunkle Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize and assist outstanding undergraduate students enrolled at the various Commonwealth Campuses of Penn State University who have a need for funds to meet necessary college expenses. Academic performance is also a consideration.

Ellen M. Laun Advising and Mentoring Excellence Award

Consideration for this award is given to all full-time faculty or staff who are actively involved with academic advising, mentoring or tutoring over an extended period of time and are consistently judged by the campus evaluation process to be doing an outstanding job.

Ellen M. Laun Trustee Scholarship

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette who have a demonstrated financial need.

David J. Leone Memorial Leadership Award at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus

Consideration for this award is given to all undergraduate engineering students enrolled at Penn State Fayette who exhibit outstanding leadership or community service qualities.

Dr. John A. Lieb Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in ADM J

Consideration for this scholarship is given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the Administration of Justice degree program at the Fayette campus. Eligible students must have achieved an outstanding academic record (minimum 3.0 GPA) and manifest promise of continued academic/ professional success. Community service is also a consideration.

Evelyn Girard Mahoney Memorial Award

Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled at Penn State Fayette who have achieved academic excellence in science or engineering.

General George Catlett Marshall Scholarship

Consideration for this scholarship is given to all full-time undergraduate students entering Penn State Fayette campus who are dependent children or grandchildren of a veteran who is a member of AMVETS Post 103 or dependent children or grandchildren of a veteran who lives in Fayette County. The student must carry a minimum 3.00 GPA. If there are no incoming freshmen who meet these guidelines, then any other student already enrolled at Penn State Fayette campus who meet the guidelines shall be given consideration for this scholarship.

Terry E. and Denise E. McMillen Award in Engineering

The purpose of this award is to provide recognition and financial assistance for outstanding achievements by an undergraduate student who is enrolled in the College of Engineering at Penn State Fayette.

Terry and Denise McMillen Trustee Scholarship

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette who have a demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be given to students enrolled in engineering.

Sol J. Michael Community Service Learning Award

Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students who are enrolled in the Community Service Learning Program at Penn State Fayette.

Helen Moser Memorial Award

Consideration for this award shall be given to outstanding graduate and undergraduate students from Fayette County who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in the nursing program at Penn State Fayette. Preference shall be given to students from Masontown, PA (zip code 15461) with next preference to students from Albert Gallatin Senior High School in Fayette County, PA.

Mountaintop Foundation Scholarship Program

The Mountaintop Foundation is a private, tax exempt, charitable foundation created in 1998. The foundation believes that knowledge is fundamental to improving the social and financial standing of the individual and their community. Students go through a rigorous application process and must meet all eligibility requirements. Applicants also need to provide three adult character references who are not related to the student. Scholarships will be awarded at the start of every academic year, starting in fall 2019. Scholarships are renewable annually for up to 3 years, if renewal qualifications are met. Scholarship winners must matriculate to Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, and be enrolled full-time.

Denise Orndorff Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette who are majoring or plan to major in a science discipline and who have demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

PNC Financial Corp. Endowed Fayette Campus Scholarship

Consideration is given to all full-time undergraduate students who are currently enrolled or are planning to enroll at the Fayette campus. The student must demonstrate superior academic achievement.

Port Family Service Award

Consideration for this award shall be given to all Penn State students who are full-time undergraduate students, have completed 24 credits and have a minimum GPA of 3.25. The awardee will have demonstrated that they have expended substantial time in engaging in secular public service projects within the community in which they live or in projects at Penn State Fayette.

Presidential CES Scholarships

This scholarship is awarded to freshmen in recognition of their outstanding academic performance in high school and their potential for continued success at the Fayette campus of Penn State University. This scholarship is not based on financial need but rather on academic merit. These $1000. scholarships are renewable the second year as long as the student maintains the required GPA.

Procyk Family Trustee Scholarship

Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette who have a demonstrated financial need.

Dr. John Davis Sink Scholarship for Leadership Excellence

Consideration for this scholarship is given to all full-time undergraduate students of sophomore standing or above enrolled as degree candidates in the agricultural, biological, chemical and/or military sciences at the Fayette campus. Eligible students need to exemplify Dr. Sink's qualities of integrity, scholarship, public service and leadership. A minimum GPA of 3.00 is required. Preference is given to those whose ethnic, cultural and/or national background contribute to the diversity of the student body or to veterans or to adult students.

Wolford Swimmer Trustee Scholarship

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette who have a demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be given to students from the eligible pool whose permanent residence is located in Fayette County, Pennsylvania.

Trustee Scholarship Fund for Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette who have a demonstrated financial need.

Uniontown Rotary-of B'Nai B'Rith Scholarship

Annually, the Fayette Lodge of B Nai B Rith awards a scholarship to a Penn State Fayette campus student. This student is recognized at the yearly Sports Night program. Eligible students must be a graduate of a Fayette County high school, must be a resident of Fayette County, have demonstrated financial need, and have achieved a strong academic record. This scholarship must be used while attending Penn State Fayette campus.

Dr. Nathan Viswanathan Memorial Scholarship

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are majoring in or planning to major in a degree program that focuses on science at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, whose gender, race, ethnic, cultural, and/or national background contribute to the diversity of the student body, and who have a demonstrated financial need.

Charles H. Wall Memorial Scholarship for 4LAS or Liberal Arts

The purpose of this fund is to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding students enrolled or planning to enroll at the Fayette campus in the Liberal Arts Program who have a proven need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Charles H. Wall Memorial Scholarship #2

The purpose of this scholarship is to enrich the lives of students at the Fayette Campus by providing funds for students who do not qualify for federal or state grants.

Charles H. Wall Emergency Need Scholarship Fund

To provide financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette who have demonstrated an urgent need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Nursing Scholarships

Dorothy M. Farr Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded on an annual basis to a student nurse (ADN program) based on financial need and scholastic achievement.

Arthur and Millicent Gabriel Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to an outstanding Fayette County student enrolled full time in the nursing program at Penn State Fayette campus.

Annette McKee Harah Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding students enrolled or planning to enroll in the nursing program at the Penn State Fayette campus who have a proven need for funds to meet their college expenses and who are of good character and show promise of becoming capable nurses.

Jodi Santella Hardy Trustee

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus who have a demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be given to students who are majoring in or planning to major in nursing.

Arlene R. Komar Memorial Scholarship in Nursing

Consideration for this award is given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the baccalaureate degree in the nursing program at Penn State Fayette who have achieved superior academic records.

Charles and Helen R. Shanaberger Scholarship for Nursing

Swimmer Scholarship

Consideration for this award is given to all full-time undergraduate students who were born in Fayette County and/or have resided there for the last 10 years and who are enrolled in their second year of nursing at the Fayette Campus. They must have shown the most academic improvement (not best GPA) from beginning of first year until the end of first year and must manifest promise of outstanding academic success. They must also have a proven financial need.

The Uniontown Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship

The Uniontown Hospital Auxiliary awards this scholarship to support the efforts of students as they pursue their nursing degree (ADN). This scholarship is awarded typically to a freshman and is renewable the second year as long as the recipient maintains academic progress and demonstrates evidence of professional and personal development.

Elizabeth Hoover Wall Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding students enrolled or planning to enroll at the Penn State Fayette campus in the discipline of nursing or other related medical disciplines who have a proven need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
