Summer Youth Programs

Day camps will be held during the weeks of June 16 through July 18, 2025 at Penn State Fayette’s campus.

Penn State Fayette’s Summer Youth Programs offer a wide variety of fun-filled, academic learning for youth and teens in grades 1-12. Our instructors are highly qualified, experienced professionals, who provide a fun, safe, and educational experience through innovative learning, experiments, hands-on activities, and games, with some adventure along the way!

Grades 1 through 3 (ages 6-8)

Lets-A Goooo Camp: In this “Mario” inspired camp, campers will create their own courses, design their own cart, make their own “power-up” objects, and more! Students will connect science and engineering wo the world of Mario. Lets-a make this a summer to remember with this Mario camp!

Princess Camp: Have you ever dreamed of being a princess? Join us for an enchanting time at our Disney summer camp! our Disney princess campers will engage in many activities and crafts associated with the Disney princesses.

In Our Summer Camp Era: Calling all Swifties! Are you ready to make the whole place shimmer during an “Enchanted” week of activities related to all things Taylor Swift? Students will participate in Taylor-themed crafts, projects, dancing, and singalongs during this “Cruel Summer” camp. You belong with us if you can’t wait to “Shake It Off” and have “The Best Day” everyday!

Music To My Ears: In this STEM camp about all things music, campers will learn the science behind sound and instruments. Students will create their own instruments such as banjos, flutes, and maracas by using different materials. Learn how to use different materials that are all around you to make music to your ears!

Wicked Camp: Step into world of Oz and follow the yellow brick road to get to the magnificent Emerald City! You’re sure to be “Popular” when you join this mini camp. Students will participate in magical STEM projects crafts, and other exciting activities to The Wizard of Oz and Wicked. Get ready to “Defy Gravity!”

All Things Summer: Come join in on the “All things Summer!” summer camp! Students will explore and create different things relating to summer such as water slides, water experiments, building their own “sandcastles” with different materials and more. Get in the summer mode as we explore and create “all things summer”!

A MARVELous Camp: Each day is centered around a different marvel hero including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, and Thanos. Students will do marvel themed crafts such as spider-man web fluid, Cap's shield, and the infinity gauntlet.

Age of the Dinosaurs: Join us for a week in prehistoric times. This fascinating camp allows you to become a paleontologist and learn everything you need to know about dinosaurs. Our camp will travel in time to the prehistoric era where they will explore types of dinosaurs, examine and create fossils, engage in dino-themed crafts, and so much more!

Grades 4 through 6 (ages 9-11)

Masterpiece Camp: Calling all budding artists and art lovers. Each day we will focus on a prominent artist and iconic artworks, learning about the life of the artist, the styles of art they produced, and the techniques used. We will take video tours of art galleries to view these masterpieces. Campers will create their own artwork using the techniques learned and in the same style as the artist of the day or they will recreate a masterpiece. Possible artists include: Monet, Van Gogh, Warhol, Kandinsky, Picasso and more. We will display the art in our own “gallery” which other camps can come to view.

Blast Off Into Space: Students will be immersed into outer space! They will learn all about our planet Earth as well as the other components in our solar system.

Magic For Muggles: Welcome to the Wizarding World at Penn State Fayette! Join us for a Magical week of Harry potter themed activities. Magical Muggles will engage in wand-making, practicing spells, designing their own Hogwarts Castle and more!

Movin’ and Groovin’: Learn about our bodies and how they work. Campers will learn about their body systems and ways to stay healthy. They will complete activities and experiments related to different systems. They will also spend some time with some physical activities/drills to stay active.

Comic Book Superheroes: Campers will learn the history of comic books and the backstories of famous superheroes such as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. We will produce our own comic strips, come up with our own superhero persona (what would your superhero name be, your superpowers, etc), and design our masks and outfits. Other activities will include superhero tag, using clues to solve a mystery, and skits where the “superheroes” have to save their city from a villain!

Unconventional Inventions: This week is all about thinking outside of the box to create our own personal inventions! We will get messy, scientific, and creative to come up with our next generations’ greatest inventions! Bring your ingenuity and creativity to this innovative week of summer camp.

Knights and Princesses: Campers will learn about medieval times and stories featuring knights, princesses, dragons, and castles. STEM activities will include building a castle, designing a moat, and making a catapult or drawbridge for the castle. Crafts will include designing your own knight’s shield and armor, making a dragon puppet, or a fire-breathing dragon. Games will be played with medieval themes and we will have the Knight/Princess Olympics.

Magical Mythology: Each day students will learn about different characters in mythology and the stories of that mythology including Greek, Norse, Egyptian, and Native American Folktales. Students will also do crafts centered around the different characters and stories.

Under the Big Top: Step right up to the PSU Circus of fun! This week we will explore circus animals, circus games, crafts and so much more.

Down On The Farm: Holy Cow! This camp will focus on different farm animals, crops, the history of farming, and how technology has changed the industry. The students will enjoy a hands-on animal visits, paint with vegetables, play bino, build a barn, and design a corn maze as well as other animal crafts.

Grades 8-11 (ages 13-16)

Save a Life Camp!–Save a Life.... Become CPR certified & learn about careers in Emergency Medicine. In this 3-day camp learn CPR, First Aid, and the careers in the EMS field. Learn what it takes to be in the world of EMS. Learn what career paths these professionals take and discuss how these could be stepping stones to other medical careers.

Grades 9-12 (ages 14-17

Penn State STEM Camp-The STEM camp is a week of hands-on educational programming that will focus on the practical application of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in everyday life. This camp is designed for students entering ninth to twelfth grades. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate on academic exploration with Penn State faculty and industry professionals in project-based activities that foster creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel a registration, please notify Penn State Fayette's Office of Outreach and Continuing Education in writing at least one week before the program start date. A course fee refund will be subject to a $20 administrative fee. No refunds will be issued after the start date. All programs are on-campus and face-to-face for all grades.
