Southwest Pennsylvania U.S. Steel Mines collection, 1840-1983
The Southwestern Pennsylvania U.S. Steel Mines collection spans the company's activities in Southwestern Pennsylvania, mainly Fayette County, from 1840-1983 and includes materials that were employed for the purpose of maintaining mine operations. The remainder of the collection gives a glimpse of industrial standards for the time and company news, as well as chronicles the company-sponsored lawn and garden contests among employees living in company-owned homes. The collection includes a large photo series, the bulk of which chronicles the company-sponsored lawn and garden contests among employees living in company-owned homes, picnics. The remainder of the collection encompasses records that were utilized in public and employee relations functions, such as scrapbooks of newspaper publicity and issues of the company's corporate magazine.

John A. Enman papers, 1876-2013
The collection consists of three series, Collectibles; Research materials; and Writing and Publications. As the collection consists of both materials generated by Dr. Enman and resources used to research his work, it contains items dated from 1884 through 2013.

The collection is comprised of 154 photographs taken between 1942 and 1945. They document construction and structural changes at Dearth Mine, Juniata, Leisenring #1, Leisenring #2, Leisenring #3, Robena, Shoaf, and Trotter Water Company Plant A.

Coal and Coke Museum Association of Pennsylvania records, 1924-1991
The Coal and Coke Museum Association of Pennsylvania was founded in 1964 by J. Harold Arnold to promote a national coal and coke museum in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. This collection is composed of the Association's records, and is divided into five series: Administrative records, Correspondence, Financial records, President's ephemera, and Reference materials.

Medlen family collection, 1905-1991
Dr. Rudolph Medlen was a physician who served the mining communities of Fayette County, Pennsylvania from the late 1930s to the early 1990s. This collection is composed of records generated by Dr. Medlen, his wife, Stella Medlen, and their respective families. It consists of four series: Medical practice records and tools; Midwifery records and tools; Mining tools and equipment; and Personal papers and ephemera.

Keister family papers, 1787-1992
This collection includes business records and personal papers created by multiple generations of the Keister family and date from 1787-1992. Members of the Keister family resided and operated businesses throughout Western Pennsylvania.

Thomas I. Agnew papers, 1876-2003
Thomas I. Agnew, Executive Vice President of Comtrol Communications Corporation, donated this collection to the CCHC in 2004. It is composed of two series: Research materials and Writings and publications.

Robert S. Tomich papers, 1968-1982
Robert S. Tomich worked as a research scientist for Bituminous Coal Research Inc., after departing the United States Steel Corporation's steel works in Donora, Pennsylvania in 1962. This collection is composed of records generated by Mr. Tomich during his tenure at Bituminous Coal Research Inc. It consists of two series: Manuals and reports and Research notes.

Domenico and Son Coal Company records, 1940-1954
The Domenico and Son Coal Company records include records from Ainey Coal Company, formed in 1941 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania by Albert J. Opperman and Domenico Piccolomini. Ainey Coal Company was acquired by Piccolomini in 1949 and became Domenico and Son Coal Company. The collection consists mainly of tax and employee records from 1944 to 1951.
