Penn State Fayette to host 'Out of the Darkness' walk for suicide prevention

Penn State Fayette will host the first “Out of the Darkness” walk by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) on April 19, to raise awareness and support for suicide prevention.

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, will host the first “Out of the Darkness” walk by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) on April 19, to raise awareness and support for suicide prevention.

Onsite registration starts at 11 a.m., with the event beginning at noon. The walk is part of AFSP’s effort to involve young adults in suicide prevention, a leading cause of death across the United States.
