Penn State Fayette to host spring commencement on May 10

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus will celebrate its spring commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, in the Community Center Main Arena.

LaVarr McBride, associate teaching professor of criminal justice, will serve as commencement marshal. Rachel Duda, district executive for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, will deliver the commencement address. Duda attended Penn State Fayette for two years before transitioning to Penn State's University Park campus. She received a bachelor of science degree with honors in civil engineering and later earned a master of engineering degree.

Regional Chancellor Megan Nagel will confer the degrees, after which Penn State alumnus David Omatick will induct graduates into the Penn State Alumni Association.
