LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — Assistant Teaching Professor Bequie Perry in the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, was recently awarded a general education micro-grant worth $500.

Funded by the Office for General Education, this micro-grant was designated to enhance the learning experience for students enrolled in "COMM101N: Understanding and Enhancing Creativity." Throughout the course, students explore creativity through scientific inquiry, analyzing its role in global art, writing, mass media, communications and organizations.

“The grant money was used to purchase art supplies, enabling students to explore mediums without financial barriers. These materials have allowed my students to experiment with different techniques and materials to express themselves,” Perry said.
