LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus has announced the recipients of the 2025 University Libraries Undergraduate Research Award for Excellence in Information Literacy.
The award recognizes students who demonstrated outstanding research, citation, and information literacy in their undergraduate projects for the fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters. Applicants were evaluated on their understanding of information privilege, research strategies, and ability to integrate research materials.
This year’s winners are:
- Lucas Beddick, “Self-compassion as a predictor of tendencies for prosocial behavior”
- Todd Bruzda, “Reinvestigating piezoelectric materials for small scale energy generation”
- Lauren Nedrow, “Dual enrollment effects on college success”
In addition to his Fayette campus recognition, Beddick also earned third place in the University-wide Libraries award at University Park.
