LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — On Aug. 25, Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus will host a softball and baseball fields dedication and the fourth annual Concert on the Lawn. Both events are free and open to the public.
Fields dedication and softball game
A public dedication program for the new baseball and softball fields on campus will begin at 4 p.m. Local elected officials, industry leaders and members of the campus community will be in attendance. Alumni, faculty and staff may participate in a pick-up softball game at 3 p.m. Register to play at https://fayette.psu.edu/field. Participants are encouraged to bring gloves, protective gear and nonmetal cleats. Waivers must be completed on site; check in at the Community Center parking lot at 2:30 p.m.
Annual Alumni Barbecue Reunion
Following the dedication of the fields, the annual Barbecue Reunion for alumni and their guests will be held at 5 p.m. in the Student Center of the Williams Building. Alumni may register at https://fayette.psu.edu/alumni-society-reunion-barbecue for $20 by Aug. 16.
TUSK: The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Experience
TUSK: The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Experience will perform at 7 p.m. A fireworks display by Little Big Shots will directly follow the show. Guests may begin entering campus at 6 p.m.
TUSK covers the greatest hits of Fleetwood Mac, which has featured the talents of Mick Fleetwood, Christine and John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and more. The five members of TUSK have been performing together for more than 25 years.
Alcohol and coolers are prohibited; however, food and nonalcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. Concertgoers can bring chairs or blankets to sit on the hillside overlooking the stage.
No tickets or reservations are required to attend the concert. In case of inclement weather, the concert will take place in the campus Community Center with limited capacity. For more information or accessibility concerns, contact 724-430-4271.
