Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant, Human Development and Family Studies

At Penn State Fayette, you can become a registered nurse with our Bachelor of Science in Nursing and serve on the front lines of the health care industry. Work in emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, schools, and private homes. Or in just two years, become a physical therapist assistant with the Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant Degree and be part of the team providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Another option for a career in helping others is the Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. HDFS students study the whole person over the life span, from children to the elderly. Numerous job titles await graduates in counseling, childcare, elderly care, working with mental and developmental disabilities, and in health care, education, business, and government agencies.

Engineering

Another popular STEM degree at Penn State Fayette is Engineering. Explore the project-based learning the Fayette campus provides to Bachelor of Science in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology majors. The EMET program, which can be completed entirely at Fayette campus, prepares graduates for the rapidly developing fields of industrial automation and robotics, with expertise in both electrical and mechanical engineering. The Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology prepares graduates to enter the fast-growing field of electrical and electronics systems. Thursday, October 20 at 6:00 p.m.–Business and Social Sciences Night

Business, Project and Supply Chain Management, Corporate Communication

Options abound for students with an interest in business. Our Bachelor of Science in Business program offers options in Marketing and Management, Accounting, and an Individualized Option that allows students to work with faculty to create a business focus. Another popular business option is the Bachelor of Science in Project and Supply Chain Management which focuses on two of the most evolving areas of the business world: project management and supply chains. A slightly different twist on the business world is offered with the Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication degree. This program focuses on marketing, branding, public relations, social media, and corporate social responsibility. The Associate of Science in Business Administration provides the skills for entry-level employment while preparing students to pursue a bachelor’s degree.

Criminal Justice, Psychology

Our degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology offer students both bachelor of arts and bachelor of science options. Criminal Justice prepares graduates for careers in corrections, parole and probation, law enforcement, courts, and victims advocacy. Psychology prepares graduates to work in government, human services, and business. Both also serve as excellent preparation for graduate studies.

Humanities, Multidisciplinary Studies

The interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts in Humanities allows students to develop critical thinking and analysis skills while studying two subfields: history and global culture; the visual and performing arts; philosophy and religious studies; and literature and writing. Humanities prepares students for a variety of career fields in the arts, business, education, government, and law. The Associate of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies provides the skills for entry-level employment while preparing students to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
