Following a three-month comprehensive planning process, Penn State officials have determined that the University can meet or exceed the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s guidelines for colleges and universities, and look forward to welcoming back faculty, staff and students to resume on-campus, in-person classes and other activities this fall in a limited fashion.
University students and educators alike are grappling with turbulent times, and Penn State’s course on the “Art and Science of Human Flourishing” is well-positioned to help undergraduates to develop strategies for caring for themselves and others. The Advisory Board of Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus has named Jonathan Garlow and JoAnn Jankoski, respectively, as the 2020 recipients of the Outstanding Alumnus and Outstanding Fellow awards.

David B. Meredith, associate professor of engineering at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, has retired after 41 years of service. He has taught engineering and technology courses at Penn State Fayette since 1979.
The College of Nursing simulation faculty presented a timely webinar titled "Simulation During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Maintaining Safety and Quality" in response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on teaching and learning with simulation. The purpose of the webinar was to highlight key safety and infection control considerations for faculty and students when returning to and reopening simulation laboratories.

Penn State has launched an integrated effort to remind faculty, staff and students at all campuses and in adjacent communities of the importance of doing their part to limit the spread of COVID-19. “Mask Up or Pack Up” is a research-based campaign that is also launched in State College to create a seamless message for students and other members of the community.
