Local holiday traditions on exhibit at Fayette campus

The Coal and Coke Heritage Center at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus will feature “Christmas in the Coal Patch” Dec. 2 through Jan. 9 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. This mini-exhibition shows how Christmas was celebrated by the Slovakian, Polish, Carpatho-Rusyn, and Italian immigrant families living in the mining company towns of southwestern Pennsylvania.

Fayette campus’ CCPS leads in law-enforcement training

When Doug Yuhouse, head of training for the Wilkinsburg Police Department, and two fellow officers recently needed to become certified as patrol rifle instructors, he turned, once again, to the Center for Community and Public Safety (CCPS) at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus.
