Penn State Fayette to hold virtual info session for Early College Program

The Early College Program at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus offers high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to complete college credits at a fifty percent tuition adjustment and earn scholarships. A virtual information session will be offered on Thursday, April 30 at 6:00 p.m. for interested students and families.

In the face of severe financial impacts to the University brought on by the global coronavirus pandemic, on April 23 Penn State President Eric J. Barron announced some salary adjustments; a 3% across-the-board cut to university budgets in the next fiscal year; and his intention to work with the Board of Trustees to freeze tuition for the 2020-21 academic year to limit student costs.

Penn State planning to freeze 2020-21 tuition to help ease COVID-19 hardships

Due to the economic challenges facing Pennsylvania and the nation, Penn State President Eric J. Barron announced plans today (April 23) to freeze tuition rates for all students University-wide for the 2020-21 academic year. The plan, which will be presented to the University’s Board of Trustees for final approval at its July meeting, would mark the third consecutive year that Penn State has held tuition rates flat for Pennsylvania resident students.

Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus has announced the winners of the Spring 2020 Learning Fair. The event was held virtually, from April 27 to 29, featuring an online gallery of abstracts and digital posters, some of which included pre-recorded audio presentations.

Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus has maintained a food pantry to support students with food insecurities since 2016. But when the coronavirus pandemic set an economic crisis into motion across the country in March, the food pantry became an essential function of the campus.
