The 2PTA program prepares its graduates for positions in a number of traditional and non-traditional career settings.
A licensed physical therapist assistant will find job opportunities available in: hospitals, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, home health services (in states where this applies), school systems, and work-hardening programs.
Physical therapist assistants may also find employment in non-traditional settings, such as adult daycare centers, assisted-living communities, boarding homes, camps for children with special needs, community outreach programs, daycare centers, group homes, health and wellness programs, injury prevention programs, health maintenance organizations, hospice, medical supply companies, orthotic and prosthetic companies, prisons, and work-site programs.
The above listings are only a few of the number of opportunities available.
