Allegheny County high school students are learning essential skills through the Penn State Commonwealth Campuses Community and Future Workshop Series made possible through a partnership with the Readiness Institute (RI) at Penn State and funding from the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation. Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus has installed a weather station on campus as part of the Pennsylvania Environmental Monitoring Network, which includes 20 similar systems across the commonwealth. The project, which began development in 2017, is funded by the Penn State Office of the Vice President for Research, the Institutes of Energy and the Environment, and the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences.
The Penn State Fayette and United Bank 4.0 Club was established in 2011 to recognize students from regional high schools who have completed their sophomore, junior or senior years with a cumulative grade-point average of 4.0 or higher.

Penn State University Health Services (UHS) is encouraging students to protect themselves against monkeypox in light of cases in Pennsylvania and nationally. Monkeypox is a viral infection primarily spread through prolonged close contact. It is not a sexually transmitted infection (STI), and anybody can be at risk, regardless of gender or sexual orientation.
