At its annual meeting May 11 at the Uniontown Country Club, the Advisory of Board of Penn State Fayette Inc. announced Debbie Powell Manchas and Joseph Segilia III as recipients of the Outstanding Alumna and Outstanding Fellow awards, respectively.

Fayette campus holds commencement ceremony

Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer Charles Patrick conferred academic degrees on 113 candidates for graduation May 6 during the 47th commencement ceremony at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus. The event’s honored guest speaker was Richard Trumka, a Fayette campus alumnus who is president of the AFL-CIO, the largest organization of labor unions in the country.

Fayette professor recognized for teaching excellence

The Penn State Alumni Association has selected Dr. Gib Prettyman, an associate professor of English at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, to receive an Alumni/Student Award for Excellence in Teaching. In conjunction with this award, he will serve as a Penn State Teaching Fellow for 2017.

Penn State announces spring 2017 commencement events and speakers

This spring Penn State expects to award 13,894 diplomas to students University-wide who are completing 226 associate, 11,435 baccalaureate, 1,590 master’s, 262 law, 244 doctoral and 137 medical degrees. Fayette campus hosts Pennsylvania Student Leadership Consortium

More than 100 student leaders from 12 area high schools gathered at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus April 21 for the Pennsylvania Student Leadership Consortium (PASLC). This annual event, now in its fifth year, was hosted by the Student Forum at Laurel Highlands High School (LH).
